Decisions

Sitting here at 1:09 am tired but not being able to sleep as a result of someDecisions3 major decisions that I have to make. Ones that ultimately can result in either my Success or Failure.
I am faced with the thought of once again not being good enough for a job, or not being able to complete tasks given to me, I feel like a friggin idiot and stupid. I have been struggling with my job for some time now and it has come to a point that I cannot do my job and there is no place for me to grow. The people in my company are amazing and hDecisions1ave helped me through a lot of struggles. I guess my question is: When is enough, enough?  I was on the phone with my sister and we prayed to God that he would give me the strength to walk through this, now I totally have been through much worse and much harder things, but in the past I could always walk through it numb,Decisions I would use drugs or sex to help me through the rough times and I would not have to feel anything. Today I have been clean for two and a half years and I don’t have that choice. I Choose NOT to put drugs in my body to numb the fear and pain.  I am so scared that I am going to be older and still be a failure, I am afraid that I will never find my passion.  I feel like there are so many directions that I could take and I am frozen with fear. What happens if I pick wrong,Decisions2 what happens if I fail at that too, what happens if I cant do it or I quit. What will people think of me? What do they think of me now?  God there are so many questions and doubts that I am paralyzed with fear.
I just needed to write these thoughts down before I exploded.

I will miss you my friend

My Friend

Joe Potter

We are so much more than our thoughts, feelings, and perceptions. Finding peace

is an inward-journey that yields incredible outward-results. I can help you with that journey.

www.inwardhealing.com

More about my friend and the way he touched people...this is from his website "Inward Healing"

Joe Potter is not your traditional psychic healer. He was born with the gift of empathy and learned very quickly to deny it and treat it as a dysfunction instead of a gift. At a very early age, he was able to sense peoples’ emotional states and even received visions of the events that had changed their lives.

In an effort to avoid the meta-physics, Joe opted for studying the physical world, instead. Attending the University of Florida and the University of South Florida, he graduated cum laude with a degree in Engineering. From there he was immediately recruited into the technology world of IBM in Bethesda, Maryland and spent many years in the “dot.com” industry. He held several positions in that industry: Technical Support, Developer, Project Manager, Business Development; but his favorite, by far, was his work as a Course Developer and Instructor.  Possessing the gift to impart knowledge in a language easily understood by audiences of all levels, he shined while his students excelled.

By the late 1990’s, Joe had accumulated a net worth that was not uncommon for “dot.com” workers of that time. He was “living the dream”, replete with all the material trappings that seemed to define success. Yet, something was missing and Joe was feeling the pull to make a change. His heart was speaking to him and he didn’t listen. Inevitably, his "dot.com" world came crashing down and, still ignoring his heart’s desire, he jumped from technology into the world of mortgages. Joe had more lessons to learn as he embarked on his second career. Although he was once again dubbed a “material” success, he felt empty and knew there was more to life. His spiritual well-being and personal h
appiness were on the verge of extinction. Joe entered what he calls his “Dark Night of the Soul” (see Dark Night of the Soul by St. John of the Cross)

In an effort to find himself, he turned to workshops, retreats, and therapy. Though they were helpful, none of them were giving him the answers he needed. Through a series of synchronistic events, Joe found himself spending a month as a live-in student of world renowned teacher/healer, Zeffi Keffalla in Sedona, Arizona. There he “re-” learned that he could only find the answers he was searching for by looking within himself.

It was during that month that he was re-introduced to the world of healing and intuition; finally connecting with his life’s purpose. Joe’s awakening was so profound that he could no longer deny his calling. He promptly gave up his mortgage business in San Francisco, and moved to Sedona to practice as a psychic; conducting readings, healing, and spiritual coaching. He fully immersed himself in the Sedona energy and worked at the famed Center for the New Age. More recently, Joe was led to Los Angeles, California where he continues his spiritual journey and work as a psychic healer.

Joe recently worked full-time at a transitional living program in Hollywood, CA where he worked with homeless 18 to 24 year-old clients who were dealing with major life challenges; including histories of sexual, physical, or emotional abuse, HIV, and various addictions.  He holds a Master's in
Spiritual Psychology from the University of Santa Monica.  Joe has been teaching professionally for over 15 years and has spent several years as a spiritual life coach, counselor, and healer.  In addition, he has extensive experience in working one-on-one with clients, and in creating and facilitating workshops and classes for up to 300 people.  He also sits on the board of directors of Wellness Works (www.wellnessworksglendale.org), a healing center in Glendale, CA.  Joe is now on a journey that includes workshops, writings, healing, and ever-changing travels into the work of helping others find their own spiritual centers.

"I had a block in my life for the last two years. All the therapy, medicine, and advice from friends changed nothing. Until I saw Joseph. Within one minute he read my cards and my life was suddenly displayed in a way so precise, that I could swear he must have read my autobiography. Impressive. Stunning. Accurate. Joseph is a compassionate, intense and accurate healer. One reading and my life changed. It was unbelievable."

I WILL MISS YOU MY FRIEND YOU WERE THERE WHEN AI STARTED MY JOURNEY AND YOU WILL BE THERE WHEN I FINISH IT.

What I Want?

I have to say that right off the bat I want to tell you about all the monetary things I want, the car, the house, the boyfriend, the best group of friends and so on, but in reality if I were to really sit back and have to think of the things I want most in this lifetime, I guess one of them would be, my memory, as I am getting older I realize that my remembering the ordinary stuff does not come easy anymore. Like remembering how to do a particular action at my work, sometimes I have to ask 5 and 6 times depending on the stretch of time in between performing this action on how to do it or who to contact or what process comes next. I know I get frustrated and I know my boss get frustrated too but what can I do other then, perform the job well and move on, dreading the next request or job.  I live in constant fear that I am going to fail one to many times or need that extra little help remembering a process one to many times and I am going to get fired. The funny thing is, is that if you ask me at any given time what is in my house, I could probably go room by room and name almost everything in that room including what is in the drawers and cabinets.  My partner calls it my "Magic Eyes" and I guess it is kind of true....can't remember someones name I have known for years and or had relations with, but after a short walk through  I could probably tell you where you put your keys "IF" I have seen them first of course even briefly. Weird huh?

Getting back to the point of the matter' it is not the physical things I want, it is the memories, the emotions, the spiritualness and the peace of mind that I look and long for. Holding on to those things is more important than any car or house or piece of furniture I will ever have.

Below is a little bit of info on memory, I am the sensory type....What type are ?
Please feel free to comment on this blog...Thanks  -L-

Memory processes

BELOW IS AN EXPLANATION FROM WIKIPEDIA ON MEMORY PROCESSES

Processes
From an information processing perspective there are three main stages in the formation and retrieval of memory:
§  Encoding or registration (receiving, processing and combining of received information)
§  Storage (creation of a permanent record of the encoded information)
§  Retrievalrecall or recollection (calling back the stored information in response to some cue for use in a process or activity)
Sensory memory
Main article: Sensory memory
Sensory memory corresponds approximately to the initial 200–500 milliseconds after an item is perceived. The ability to look at an item, and remember what it looked like with just a second of observation, or memorization, is an example of sensory memory. With very short presentations, participants often report that they seem to "see" more than they can actually report. The first experiments exploring this form of sensory memory were conducted by George Sperling (1960) using the "partial report paradigm". Subjects were presented with a grid of 12 letters, arranged into three rows of four. After a brief presentation, subjects were then played either a high, medium or low tone, cuing them which of the rows to report. Based on these partial report experiments, Sperling was able to show that the capacity of sensory memory was approximately 12 items, but that it degraded very quickly (within a few hundred milliseconds). Because this form of memory degrades so quickly, participants would see the display, but be unable to report all of the items (12 in the "whole report" procedure) before they decayed. This type of memory cannot be prolonged via rehearsal.

Short-term
Main article: Short-term memory
Short-term memory allows recall for a period of several seconds to a minute without rehearsal. Its capacity is also very limited: George A. Miller (1956), when working at Bell Laboratories, conducted experiments showing that the store of short-term memory was 7±2 items (the title of his famous paper, "The magical number 7±2"). Modern estimates of the capacity of short-term memory are lower, typically on the order of 4–5 items,[1] however, memory capacity can be increased through a process calledchunking.[citation needed] For example, in recalling a ten-digit telephone number, a person could chunk the digits into three groups: first, the area code (such as 215), then a three-digit chunk (123) and lastly a four-digit chunk (4567). This method of remembering telephone numbers is far more effective than attempting to remember a string of 10 digits; this is because we are able to chunk the information into meaningful groups of numbers. Herbert Simon showed that the ideal size for chunking letters and numbers, meaningful or not, was three.[citation needed] This may be reflected in some countries in the tendency to remember telephone numbers as several chunks of three numbers with the final four-number groups, generally broken down into two groups of two.
Short-term memory is believed to rely mostly on an acoustic code for storing information, and to a lesser extent a visual code. Conrad (1964)[2] found that test subjects had more difficulty recalling collections of words that were acoustically similar (e.g. dog, hog, fog, bog, log).
However, some individuals have been reported to be able to remember large amounts of information, quickly, and be able to recall that information in seconds.[citation needed]
Long-term
Main article: Long-term memory
The storage in sensory memory and short-term memory generally have a strictly limited capacity and duration, which means that information is available only for a certain period of time, but is not retained indefinitely. By contrast, long-term memory can store much larger quantities of information for potentially unlimited duration (sometimes a whole life span). Its capacity is immeasurably large. For example, given a random seven-digit number we may remember it for only a few seconds before forgetting, suggesting it was stored in our short-term memory. On the other hand, we can remember telephone numbers for many years through repetition; this information is said to be stored in long-term memory.
While short-term memory encodes information acoustically, long-term memory encodes it semantically [citation needed]: Baddeley (1966)[3] discovered that after 20 minutes, test subjects had the most difficulty recalling a collection of words that had similar meanings (e.g. big, large, great, huge).
Short-term memory is supported by transient patterns of neuronal communication, dependent on regions of the frontal lobe (especially dorsolateral prefrontal cortex) and the parietal lobe. Long-term memories, on the other hand, are maintained by more stable and permanent changes in neural connections widely spread throughout the brain. The hippocampus is essential (for learning new information) to the consolidation of information from short-term to long-term memory, although it does not seem to store information itself. Without the hippocampus, new memories are unable to be stored into long-term memory, and there will be a very short attention span. Furthermore, it may be involved in changing neural connections for a period of three months or more after the initial learning. One of the primary functions of sleep is thought to be improving consolidation of information, as several studies have demonstrated that memory depends on getting sufficient sleep between training and test. Additionally, data obtained from neuroimaging studies have shown activation patterns in the sleeping brain which mirror those recorded during the learning of tasks from the previous day, suggesting that new memories may be solidified through such rehearsal.

La Fe (The Faith)

La Fe or "The Faith", sculpted in stone
from Badajoz in 1752–53.
Veil symbolizes the impossibility
to know directly the evidences
John 3:16 says something like: For GOD so love the world that he gave his only begotten son, that who shall believes in him should not die, but have everlasting life." Sometimes I wonder if GOD really is up there ready to receive his followers when they physically die. Does he or she or what ever GOD is, care about us so much that what the Bible says is true? I have been taught by those who go before me, that I need to have faith in GOD and GOD's teachings, that if I want to have salvation and everlasting life I must "truly" believe. I think here is where I get a little worried, I think I "truly" believe, but sometimes I question. Doubts crop up in my mind that tell me that it is all movement of humans that want to believe in something. So they invented this elaborate story about a man who was thought to have a  direct connection with the sky or "GOD", kinda like the Inca Kings with the sun god or "The Beatles." They rode the waves of mass hysteria into our history books and like so many men in the past, stories were handed down from generation to generation until the written word had be perfected by scribes and finally after a few hundred or maybe thousand years, I am not sure, was scribed onto parchment and stowed away, only to be found and studied and then taken as GOD's word.
Now I believe in GOD, and I believe there are powers or beings out there that I cannot even comprehend, but I still have a nagging feeling pulling me, asking me, "Is this the right direction?", "Is this the right religious view?", Can I really believe in the human race to inturpret and bring me the truth?"
I am not sure if I will ever get the answer to this question during my quest here on earth. The true task at hand, for me atleast, is to grab ahold of my belief and faith and build a wholesome, healty, and happy life, having faith that my GOD has given these books filled with stories of men and women to those who came before me and those that will be after so that we can use them as tools to live a wonderful, faithfilled, peaceful lives, so we can treat each other with love & tolerance and overcome whatever comes our way until that day, that we leave here and go wherever it is we go after we die.

GOD give me love for the Earth, compassion for my Earthmates and Faith to believe that YOU have it under control.

Judge overturns Calif. gay marriage ban

NBC, msnbc.com and news services

Share Print Font: +-SAN FRANCISCO — In a major victory for gay rights advocates, a federal judge on Wednesday struck down a California ban on same-sex marriage.Chief U.S. District Judge Vaughn Walker ruled that the voter-approved ban, known as Proposition 8, violates due process and equal-protection rights under the U.S. Constitution.

"Moral disapproval alone is an improper basis on which to deny rights to gay men and lesbians. The evidence shows conclusively that Proposition 8 enacts, without reason, a private moral view that same-sex couples are inferior to opposite-sex couples," Walker wrote.

The judge added in the conclusion of the 136-page opinion: "Proposition 8 fails to advance any rational basis in singling out gay men and lesbians for denial of a marriage license."

His ruling came in response to a lawsuit brought by two same-sex couples and the city of San Francisco seeking to invalidate the law as an unlawful infringement on the civil rights of gay men and lesbians. The landmark case is expected to be appealed and could eventually reach the U.S. Supreme Court.
Outside the federal courthouse in San Francisco, a cheer went up among a group of about 70 same-sex marriage supporters carrying small U.S. flags, as a large rainbow-striped flag — the symbol of the gay rights movement — waved overhead.

Gov. Arnold Schwarzenegger and California Attorney General Jerry Brown, who both refused to back Prop 8 in court, praised Walker's decision.
."For the hundreds of thousands of Californians in gay and lesbian households who are managing their day-to-day lives, this decision affirms the full legal protections and safeguards I believe everyone deserves," Schwarzenegger said. "At the same time, it provides an opportunity for all Californians to consider our history of leading the way to the future, and our growing reputation of treating all people and their relationships with equal respect and dignity."

"In striking down Proposition 8, Judge Walker came to the same conclusion I did when I declined to defend it," Brown said. "Proposition 8 violates the equal protection guarantee of the Fourteenth Amendment of the United States Constitution by taking away the right of same-sex couples to marry, without a sufficient governmental interest."

Opponents of same-sex marriage derided the ruling.

South Carolina Republican Sen. James Demint called the decision "another attempt to impose a secular immorality on the American people who keep voting to preserve traditional marriage."

"Traditional marriage has been the foundation of civil society for centuries and we cannot simply toss it aside to fit the political whims of liberal activists with gavels," Demint said.

Prop 8, which outlawed gay marriages in California five months after the state Supreme Court legalized them, passed with 52 percent of the vote in November 2008 following the most expensive campaign on a social issue in U.S. history.

Both sides previously said an appeal was certain if Walker did not rule in their favor. The case would go first to the 9th U.S. Circuit Court of Appeals, then the Supreme Court if the high court justices agree to review it.

Walker heard 13 days of testimony and arguments since January during the first trial in federal court to examine if states can prohibit gays from getting married.

The ruling puts Walker at the forefront of the gay marriage debate. The longtime federal judge was appointed by President Ronald Reagan.

The verdict was the second in a federal gay marriage case to come down in recent weeks. A federal judge in Massachusetts decided last month the state's legally married gay couples had been wrongly denied the federal financial benefits of marriage because of a law preventing the U.S. government from recognizing same-sex unions.

The plaintiffs in the California case presented 18 witnesses. Academic experts testified about topics ranging from the fitness of gay parents and religious views on homosexuality to the historical meaning of marriage and the political influence of the gay rights movement.

Former U.S. Solicitor General Theodore Olson delivered the closing argument for opponents of the ban. He told Judge Walker that tradition or fears of harm to heterosexual unions were legally insufficient grounds to discriminate against gay couples.

Olson teamed up with David Boies to argue the case, bringing together the two litigators best known for representing George W. Bush and Al Gore in the disputed 2000 election.

Defense lawyers called just two witnesses, claiming they did not need to present expert testimony because U.S. Supreme Court precedent was on their side. The attorneys also said gay marriage was an experiment with unknown social consequences that should be left to voters to accept or reject.

Former U.S. Justice Department lawyer Charles Cooper, who represented the religious and conservative groups that sponsored the ban, said cultures around the world, previous courts and Congress all accepted the "common sense belief that children do best when they are raised by their own mother and father."

In an unusual move, the original defendants, Brown, the state attorney general, and Schwarzenegger refused to support Proposition 8 in court.

That left the work of defending the law to Protect Marriage, the group that successfully sponsored the ballot measure that passed with 52 percent of the vote after the most expensive political campaign on a social issue in U.S. history.

Currently, same-sex couples can only legally wed in Massachusetts, Iowa, Connecticut, Vermont, New Hampshire and Washington, D.C.

Prayer of Confession

In FrailtyImage by D.Munoz-Santos via Flickr
Holy God, Our lives are far from Holy.  Thoughts we have held in secret have erupted into hurtful words and deeds.  We have not avoided lies and slander.  We have given into pessimism and suspicion.  We resent people whose lives seem easier than ours.  We hate the thought of passing on tho those less worthy the things we have worked so hard tp possess.  O God, we need your wisdoms in order to live peacefully within ourselves.  Amen.

Blast from the past (Hawk McAllistar)

Today I received a post from my good Friend Paul Kent. He forwarded a fan letter that someone sent him inquiring about Hawk McAllistar, and here is what he wrote.

wcbroccoli

has sent you a message:
Hawk McAllistar
Dear Paul:
Today, while in the grip of a sudden, inexplicable urge to seek out all things Hawk McCallistar, I stumbled upon your very entertaining YouTube video "gay men on The Paul Kent Show".
I say sudden and inexplicable because I haven't seen, heard or thought of him in many years, even though he's been a favorite of mine ever since I first saw him in some Falcon videos years ago, near the beginning of his porn career. He's one of the most beautiful men I've ever seen, and even though he must be in his early 40s by now, I suspect that if he's taken care of himself, he's still stunning.
Hawk seemed just as nice in your interview as he was when I chatted with him online about 10 years ago.
When did you interview him? Do you have more extended interviews with him?
-Brach

I am do flattered that someone would still be interested in me and I remember this man, I think, I hope that he is able to contact me.

Energy Drink Ingredients

Its seems energy drink companies are cramming more and more ingredients into their products. “What do all these ingredients supposedly do to/for my body?”, has become a common question among consumers. So here is a list of the most common ingredients and their alleged effects on the body. Look here for energy drink side effects.

Caffeine
The most common stimulant, found in coffee, Coke and Mountain Dew. Found in much higher quantities in energy drinks. Most energy drinks contain between 70 and 200 mg. An 8 oz cup of coffee contains 110-150mg for drip, 65-125mg for percolated, and 40-80 mg for instant. Dr. Pepper gives you 41mg, and a can of Coke provides 34mg. A full can of RockStar has 160mg. Caffeine stimulates the central nervous system giving the body a sense of alertness. It can raise heart rate and blood pressure while dehydrating the body. A lot of people experience side effects above 200mg, which include sleeplessness, heart palpitations, headaches, nausea, and most commonly the jitters.
We’re tracking the caffeine levels of virtually all energy drinks. Go knock yourself out.
For other questions about caffeine visit Caffiene FAQ a great resource for caffeine information.

Taurine
Taurine is an amino acid that your body naturally produces. It helps regulate heartbeat, muscle contractions, and energy levels. Usually your body makes enough that you don’t need to supplement. It’s thought, but not proven, that under “stress conditions” like illness, physical exertion, or injury, the body does not create enough and supplements can help. Taurine might be a “mild inhibitory neurotransmitter”, some studies show it helps with excitable brain states. While this isn’t exactly what we want, maybe it helps level us out so we function better with elevated levels of other stimulants.

Guarana
Guarana comes from plants in South America. Amazonians have used it for a long time to increase alertness and energy. It’s more dense in caffeine than coffee beans (3-4% vs 1-2%). It’s not just called “caffeine” because it contains a couple other things: theobromine and theophylline. They’re found in coffees and teas, and are known stimulants. Marketing will sometimes call this one guaranine, as if it’s something different. It’s not.

B Vitamins
These are essentially the things that help you convert food to energy, like sugar which is found in abundance in energy drinks. The jury’s still out on whether or not they increase energy levels via supplementation. Search the interweb for info on proper dosing of the different vitamins. Common names for B vitamins are insotol, niacin, riboflavin, cyanocobalamin, and pyridoxine hydrochloride.

Ginseng
Ginseng, an adaptogenic herb, is known to increase energy, has some anti-fatigue components, supposedly relieves stress, and increase memory. Right now it’s suspected that ginseng helps stimulate the hypothalamic and pituitary glands, which then secrete something called adrenal corticotropic hormone. With a name like that, it can’t possibly be bad. Ginseng is nothing that’s naturally created by your body, so having this in your drink certainly won’t hurt. 200mg/day seems to be the standard dose, but you can safely take up to 2700mg. Rare side effects such as diarrhea and headache have been reported.

Ginkgo Biloba
This ingredient is named after the rare tree it originates from. It is believed to help with memory retention, concentration, circulation, acts as an anti-depressant, and even shows signs of helping people with Alzheimer’s. The German government recognizes it as something that helps with memory loss, concentration, and depression. 60mg is a standard supplementation dose, and you can easily take 240mg. It is advised, however, that most energy drinks do not contain enough ginkgo to be of any benefit. People on anti-depressants shouldn’t take ginkgo and some of the other side effects include blood thinning, nausea, vomiting, diarrhea, headaches, dizziness, heart palpitations, and restlessness.
L-Carnitine
An amino acid usually created by your liver and kidneys, this stuff helps up your metabolism and energy levels. Because of the way it interacts with your body, it may act as a thermogenic and help increase weight loss and endurance during exercise. The jury’s still out on whether or not you need to supplement unless you have an unusual diet, but you can take 2-6 grams without worry. Make sure you get L-Carnitine, which is the type your body creates and can use. D-Carnitine is “inactive” and may actually hurt endurance levels. Rare side effects include include nausea, vomiting, abdominal pain, and diarrhea.

Sugars
Glucose is the body’s preferred fuel. That’s why you get hyper with a lot of sugar. Energy drinks contain a ton of sugar. Therefore, energy. It’s a carbohydrate, and a lot of exercise regiments suggest a good dose of carbs for workouts lasting more than an hour. However, to much sugar intake has been linked to diabetes. See the sugar in energy drinks database for a sortable table of beverage sugar content.

Anti-oxidants
Anti-oxidants are things that help your body gracefully recover from the damage of free radicals. Vitamin C is an anti-oxidant, so claiming that your energy drink has a lot of anti-oxidants is like saying you’re buying really expensive orange juice. But they’re good, they help fend off illness and prevent cellular damage. Vitamins C and E, Vitamin A (aka retinol, beta-carotene), and selenium are all anti-oxidants.

Glucuronolactone
Glucuronolactone (DGL) occurs naturally in the human body as glucose is broken down by the liver. All connective tissue contains this compound. DGL is believed to aid in detoxification, freeing hormones and other chemicals, and the biosynthesis of vitamin C. It is placed in energy drinks because it is believed to help with glycogen depletion by preventing other substances from depleting glycogen supplies in the muscles.

Yerba Mate
This substance is derived from leaves of a shrub in the Holly family. It is a natural source of caffeine, but some believe that the form of caffeine in Yerba Mate’ doesn’t produce the negative side affects like the caffeine in coffee and guarana.

Creatine
Creatine is naturally obtained by eating meat. Creatine helps with supplying energy to the muscles and is usually found in energy drinks and products that are marketed to body builders.

Acai Berry
This ingredient (pronounced ah-sah-ee) is finding its way into more and more energy drinks. Acai berry comes from the Acai Palm tree which is found in South America. The berries are rich in anti-oxidants, but not as much as a concord grape or blueberry. Most of the acai berry benefits have no scientific basis and are attributed to marketing hype.

Milk Thistle
This ingredient mainly found in Rockstar and a few other drinks is used as a liver detoxifying agent. It is placed in energy drinks not really for any energy enhancing properties but as a counter agent to mixing energy drinks with alcohol as milk thistle is supposed to help with hangovers and detoxing the liver from alcohol. However, studies show that the amount put in energy drinks would be of hardly any benefit to consumers.

[I wrote this when a man that was a Quaker sort of guy came to our school and spoke to us about his way of life. (1986)]

How morbid life they that make,

these are not the ones that take,

Theirs dreams and hope of Godly sake,

to make them all come true.

Those who take their hopes and dreams apart,

to depths of hell do they depart,

From forms on high do we behold,

but not the ones that they enfold,

In out arms and hearts we carry,

but us to them would only bury,

to flee the heavens never to face,

the trial on earth that they do suffer.

God’s Never ending support

Technology

I have to tell you that I am totally happy to live in this time frame in mans’ development. It amazes me that our technology is moving at such a rapid state that just in my 42 years I have witnessed the change in the way we store information and the amount of information that we can store in one place. I remember that my first computer had only 26 megabytes of ram and you could only expand to 36 MB and that was so expensive that only programmers and rich could afford it. Now I have a 4 Gigabyte mini chip in my phone.........WOW
It also just makes me have goose bumps when I see where the entertainment industry is heading.  I am continually in a state of excitement when I read about big screen TV where the screen is  a 16th of an inch AND bendable or roll-able. You know I can remember my Great Grandmother talk about not having a vehicle to drive and having to do everything by horse back until the Model T Came out.She would tell us about  when TV came out they were the first family on their area to have one, also they were one of the fist families to have a car, they were considered rich. I sat in wonder at her stories of her first experience with seeing an aero plane. She came one from Germany and I have to say back then I could not really grasp her wonderment, but as I sit here with my IPod watching my favorite videos in Mini, I can appreciate her awe at the things she saw. The thing about now is that I see in 1 years time what it probably took half her lifetime to see.

Similarities

You know..I get up every morning and do the same things ...EVERY MORNING, I guess maybe what I have learned over the years is that I am no different form the environment around me. Look at ants for instance, we has a human race look like ants and behave like ants. We have road, we communicate with each other..and the most important thing is that when we all work together we literally can move mountains and achieve great things. We work better together, and just like ants we have territories that we protect and look at the mother ant...kinda like our president, ....except for the ..popping out of millions of hundreds of babies...lol THANK GOD
Just something to think about.....
